Mother's Day, a Photographic Memoir -- Days Later

Should I have posted this on Mother's Day? Maybe. But I've been busy! Happy Tuesday. May you have a glorious day!

Where the magic happened:

Eric made French Toast. Sorry, no recipe here -- Eric doesn't need recipes, he is the recipe. Or something. It was made with challah bread, eggs, light cream, cinnamon and sugar. And cooked over medium low heat on both sides for a few minutes until it was perfect. And then he dusted each piece with powdered sugar. We didn't even need syrup! This French Toast was good. Almost ... too good. Maybe I'll convince him to post the recipe here someday. Someday. Or maybe he won't. Maybe we will open a restaurant with Eric's secret French Toast recipe and become bagilliongagillionaires! Only time will tell.

These are the muffins I made from a mix! Krusteaz Cinnamon Crumb Cake & Muffin mix, to be exact. Yum. I didn't want to torture myself, you know? I had enough to do.

A few of the food items getting ready to make their debut.

Muffins primping and getting ready to go into the oven.

Aren't cherries so pretty?

We broke out the fine china! It was an engagement gift from my lovely mother-in-law to-be.

Ta-da! Missing: Family, bacon, mini quiches, french toast. Other foods, I am sure. That's some lemon poppy seed bread I made (also from a mix). The middle was good. The ends were not. These things happen. I accept it. My family does too, I think (I hope). You get the idea.

Happy (belated) Mother's Day (AGAIN!)!!!
